Dr. James Compton
Dr. James Compton has been making beautiful smiles in Midland for over 27 years, always working to provide the most up-to-date orthodontic treatment in a caring and comfortable family-oriented environment. One of his major goals is to build relationships through a network involving patients, parents, doctors, and staff.
Dr. Compton was born and raised in Midland. He graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He received his doctoral from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1980, and his Master of Science in Orthodontics degree in 1982. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, The American Dental Society, The Texas Orthodontic Study Group, and the Permian Basin District Dental Society. He was awarded the Fred Schudy Award for excellence in clinical orthodontics, which is an award entirely decided and voted on by his peers.
Dr. Compton truly loves his job and enjoys the individual relationships that develop over the course of treatment. He feels that it is very rewarding to see how orthodontics improves patients' smiles and self confidence. He feels humbled to be treating second- and third- generations of patients.
He and his wife, Robin, have one son, Christopher, who is currently a student at Trinity University in San Antonio. Dr. Compton enjoys cooking, fishing, gardening, hunting, and quilting.
Dr. Beau Boren
Dr. Beau Boren has been perfecting smiles since 2002. He endeavors to meet each patient's expectations and to give him or her the most beautiful and healthy smile possible. He makes aims to ensure that patients feel comfortable and welcome on every single visit.
Dr. Boren grew up in Midland, but went to school in several different parts of the country. He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 1994. He completed his doctoral at Oklahoma University College of Dentistry in 1999 and then received a Master of Science in Orthodontics from State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Boren became Dr. Compton's partner in 2002, an occasion made even more special given their previous relationship; Dr. Compton straightened Dr. Boren's teeth while he was in high school. Dr. Boren is a member of the American Association for Orthodontics, Southwestern Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and the Texas Dental Association. He is also an Invisalign-certified provider.
Dr. Boren knows that excitement is contagious and loves that people are excited to come to our office and improve their smiles. He feels that the doctors and staff, in turn, are excited and privileged to get to build relationships with patients. His favorite part of his job is seeing the before and after pictures of new smiles!
Dr. Boren and his wife, Shawnna, have two wonderful boys. He is active in his church where he strives to help families stay connected with each other through prayer, sharing, and studying the Bible. Dr. Boren loves to travel with his family and to spend time outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, fitness, and sports.
