We encourage the development of a close personal relationship in our practice. Our entire staff has been carefully selected and trained to help provide the best care possible and we hope that your visits here will be very enjoyable ones. Our staff members are highly qualified and anxious to help everyone who comes to our office. They make the doctor's time more effective in providing individualized quality care for you.
At the first visit to the orthodontist, diagnostic records are made to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination; plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
After the doctor has evaluated your records, we discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the cost for your particular case.
The majority of our patients attend school or are members of the business community with regular business hours. It would be impossible to see everyone before and after school or before and after working hours, so some absence is expected during the course of treatment. Most often, local schools and businesses realize the necessity of our time requirements and are cooperative in allowing you an excused absence. If at any time you have a problem with your school authorities not giving you an excused absence for orthodontic appointments, please let us know.
In order to provide the best orthodontic treatment possible, the banding appointment and the band removal appointment must be during the mid-day hours. Shorter appointments will be made before or after school or work. Certain types of procedures, such as x-rays and consultations, are performed during specific times of the day depending upon the availability of the staff and equipment.
In scheduling our appointments, we allow the time needed to make the necessary adjustments, and if you are late we will not be able to do all of the work planned. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will have to reschedule your appointment. This prolongs treatment.
If you find that you cannot keep your appointment, please call us as soon as you know so that we can work you back into our schedule. Because we schedule appointments six to eight weeks in advance, it is often difficult to reschedule quickly and at a convenient time. Missed appointments can prolong treatment and excessive problems in this area may compromise the final result.
We have arranged our appointment schedule according to the most practical way possible to be fair to all our patients and provide them with the best orthodontic treatment possible. This appointment schedule allows us to be able to render a high quality of treatment more economically.
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets, including a no-down-payment option. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
